Many doctors believe that depression is mainly caused by chemical imbalances in the brain and prescribe anti-depressant medications that may or may not work. And, many of these medications have in many cases caused more harm than good. Nature, however, may provide several very safe and very effective alternatives. Here are a few.

In a cup of very hot water add 2 to 3 teaspoons of Apple cider vinegar, 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda, and 5 to 6 dashes of cayenne pepper. (Be careful not to inhale the cayenne pepper!) Drink this mixture while it’s hot on an empty stomach and sip it slowly.

Drink a mixture of lemon juice and cayenne pepper as a morning tea. It works great as an immunity and mood booster.

Do a dose of apple cider vinegar every day. Start with about a teaspoon a day. Increase as desired. It seems to help boost the mood and improve sleep.
